In 1994, a dedicated group of residents—teachers, local business owners, retirees, and young families—saw challenges as opportunities to strengthen their community and foster progress. They believed in the power of Newton's people and their unwavering to thriving together. With this vision, they founded the Newton Pride Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at sparking positive change. By promoting educational enrichment, enhancing community development, and preserving the town's cultural heritage, the foundation provides grants, scholarships, and volunteer resources to fuel impactful initiatives, transforming Newton into a vibrant hub of and growth.
Today, as it continues embracing new challenges and opportunities, the Newton Pride Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the vibrancy and livability of Newton. The enduring legacy of its founders is seen in every scholarship awarded, every park revitalized, and every program funded—a testament to the transformative power of collective pride and action for a better tomorrow.
